The first time I saw Saalt – I thought it looked a lot like Lunette, I thought Saalt was like a “young” version of Lunette, until I held Saalt in my hand, my feeling was completely different!
1.The story of the brand’s birth
Cherie- CEO & Co- Founder is a woman with 5 daughters.
It started with a phone call Cherie made to her cousin in Venezuela (where tampons weren’t even available for sale for years). Cherie immediately thought about what her daughters would do in the future, when women were dependent on disposable industrial items… She pondered about that.
Three months after Cherie is sourcing reusable tampons for hundreds of women. When she went to order bulk menstrual cups, Cherie couldn’t find one that met her ideal criteria. Cherie decided to design the perfect mug herself.
The hand-drawn sketches were edited fourteen times and in February 2018 Saalt was released. Why is the company called Saalt? The name Saalt represents something natural and necessary for our body. Cherie and Saalt believe that the best approach to periodical care should be natural, distinct, simple, and essential.
2.Brand: Saalt
Saalt Cup was launched in 2018 and made in USA, FDA approved. And the Saalt cups quickly rose to the top of the list of popular menstrual cups on the market! Saalt is easily found in major chain stores in the United States, or worldwide at any local pharmacy, chemist, or health store. Or you can find it online for $29/cup, $47/pair.
The brand is owned by women, deals with menstrual health education and doesn’t stigmatize candid talk about menstruation. They encourage people to join the conversation to break gender taboos and educate women about routine health care. Saalt donates 2% of its revenue to provide routine care to areas of need around the world. Model 1: Saalt Cup – Regular Series
The quality of the cup belongs to a moderate level of hardness compared to other brands. This firmness is recommended for first-time menstrual cup users, people who are physically active, or those with a strong pelvic floor.

Model 2: Saalt Cup- Soft Firmness – soft line
You may also consider using this line if you are a young or petite person, or if you have never been comfortable inserting anything into your vagina before.
The soft version is a softer cup than the regular Saalt Cup series. This softness is recommended for people who have experienced using a menstrual cup or have experienced any of the following: bladder pressure, difficulty urinating when cup is inserted, difficulty inserting cup, sensitivity vaginal or increased cramps.
Due to the rounded body and softer silicone, as well as softer edges, opening the soft Saalt Cup may require more adjustment for the cup to open properly.

As you can see, it is beautifully packaged and has the same basic shape and design as the Saalt Cup and Saalt Soft, but in a smaller overall size, more suitable for teenagers. The colors are bright and very youthful!

4.What’s so special about the Saalt Cup design?
Capacity: 25ml for small cup and 30ml for large cup is common capacity like other brands.
Body: Bell shape “puff”. Although the small Saalt is not labeled as a low-neck cup, it is shorter than many medium-sized cups on the market.
Stem: is a solid piece of silicone. It has notches and is an easy guide for cutting cups if you find them long. The stem has the right length and helps Nguyet to position the cup. Cup rim: The extra rim often adds stiffness to the rim of the cup so that the cup can be opened easily as well as softening the transition from the body to the top rim. Bottom ring/handle: The base of the cup has three grip rings for safe contact with your fingers. This is very important when handling and removing the cup.

Hardness: Saalt cups are considered to be firm, moderately soft. As mentioned above, the top rim is softer than the body so it can be difficult to determine cup opening. People with sensitive bladders or bowels may find the Saalt Soft more comfortable than the Saalt Cup.
Air holes: There are four small air holes just below the top rim, which create suction, and you may need a little more pinching to squeeze the cup and remove it.
Seams: The Saalt Cup has a seam that runs the length of the body on the “sides” as well as on the top of the rim quite neatly.
Brand: The secondary rim has the “saalt” brand imprinted on the outside of the cup.
